In 1997 the book was made into a television special for French TV, directed and written by Hoël Caouissin. In 2003 it was translated into English by Sarah Ardizzone (née Adams) for which she won the 2005 Marsh Award for Children’s Literature in Translation. I love, love, love this book. And I am probably biased about it, because I read it as a child, but it was so wonderful... This is pretty much the reason why I began to like wolves.
